Iron Deficiency In Pregnant Women Craving Ice?!?!?

Craving Ice?!?!? - iron deficiency in pregnant women

In those days I was like ice. I think it is fairly rare, because the teeth are much more sensitive. Anyway, I heard the desire of ice is common in pregnant women, but could also be a symptom of iron deficiency. So far, the results of the tests I made this statement, I am not anemic. This can be simply the desire is very strange that someone out there who have or have the same desire?

Wow, I'm glad to know that someone else Cravedi ice. It pregnant when I was 3 years I have also Cravedi ice, it was like ice, but the dynamics of the crisis. I also have sensitive teeth, but the dynamic was Servere pain in the teeth. For the sake of the ice, if it is a good thing, because even it does not make the ice is thick. We would like to chocolate! I do not think the ice has nothing to do with iron, because although I've heard that if you need iron and coal of your dreams. Good Luck

Hmm, I always knew that should the desire for ice and iron. I do not know what else, maybe just this strange desire. This article says, it could also be other problems related to nutrition.

Maybe. Doctors use the term "pica" to describe the desire to chew and substances which have no nutritional value - such as ice, mud, corn starch and paper. Desire and chewing ice (pagophagia) is often associated with iron deficiency anemia - if they are also associated with other problems, nutrition, and in combination. In some individuals, pica is a symptom of emotional problems such as stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder or developmental disorder.

A thorough medical examination to determine whether pica is an underlying disease. If the cause of picaProblems or emotional development, cognitive behavioral therapy can be helpful.

Longed water and ice through my two pregnancies with no problems from iron deficiency. Toward the end, with two to go through at least 4 32 ounces glasses of water a day, often more like 6th I also have sensitive teeth, and probably why I have a lot of water, with my ice. If you are full of 32 ounces (without insulation) glass to the brim with ice and then cover with tap water to drink when you are fast enough, keep a half-cup of ice melting is easy to chew. It is an incentive to drink as much water as necessary and easier on the teeth. A simpler solution is Sonic the pellets in bags of 10 pounds per unit are available. Congratulations for your child.
